Feb 10, 2009 - SCER completed data entry and review of more than 1.2 million new registered voters, said an official, adding that SCER commenced preparations for candidacy and ballot stage of the parliamentary elections which are to be carried out in April 27. News circulated that the forthcoming elections might be postponed, SCER confirmed that elections are to be carried out in time, though. Worth mentioning that representatives of the National Democracy Institution NDI and IFES have arrived in Yemen to work out comprise for the participation of the JMP.
