Pirates Release Second Yemeni Boat

Yemen call UNDP to support forthcoming elections

Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER) has discussed with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) the technical support of the program may offer to hold the next parliamentary election in 2009.

The head of Technical Affairs and Planning Sector Mohammed al-Sayani has held talks with the UNDP expert Karin Hung over mutual cooperation between the two sides.

During the meeting, they have been reviewed steps taken by the SCER to implement revise operation of voters' lists and to prepare for the 2009 parliamentary elections.
