Yemeni protesters attack Egyptian consulate

Yemenonline-A Yemeni security official says hundreds of protesters angry with Egypt's role in the blockade of Gaza have stormed the Egyptian consulate in Aden, south of the Yemeni capital.

AP

The official said the protesters stormed the front gate, threw computers from windows, and climbed the two-story building to the roof and set fire to the Egyptian flag.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.

The protesters have left the building which is currently surrounded by security forces.

Many in the Arab world are angry with Egypt, accusing it of giving the green light to Israel's assault on Gaza that has so far left more than 300 people dead.
