The Arab Coalition intercepted and destroyed a weapon-laden drone launched by the Houthi militia, targeting the southern region of Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
In a statement carried by the SPA, the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen said: “The Houthi terrorist militia continues target civilians and civilian facilities in the Kingdom.”
“We are taking operational measures to protect civilians from hostile attempts,” the coalition added in the statement.
On Wednesday, the Iranian-backed militia launched multiple military projectiles from inside the Yemeni territories toward one of the border villages in the Jazan region.
According to Lt. Col. Muhannad Bin Jasser Zailai, deputy spokesman for the Civil Defense Directorate in the Jazan region, five military projectiles had fallen near the main road of the village but did cause any injuries.
He added that the procedures adopted in such cases were immediately implemented.
