The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has supported the World Health Organization (WHO) in organizing a training workshop for health sector workers in Aden governorate on fighting and preventing malaria.
The two-day workshop, benefiting 28 health workers, focused on subjects related to malaria and the pandemics that transmit it. Ways to spread awareness among local societies against these pandemics, guarantee early diagnosis of the illness and provide treatment and medical care were discussed.
Dr. Adel Al-Jasari, malaria and vector control officer at WHO, praised the role of KSrelief in supporting anti-malaria programs in Yemen, including building human capabilities and preparing Yemeni health cadres, and said that the Kingdom had been providing support in combating pandemic diseases for decades.
