UN says Yemen's famine crisis on "highest alert"

In a recent report issued by the United Nations, Yemen is among the 23 "Hunger Hotspots" in the world that is facing a critical shortage of food.
The UN's Food and Agriculture Organization and World Food Programme said in a joint report that Yemen's situation, among the worst in the hotspots, is on the "highest alert."
The UN agencies also warned that life-saving aid to Yemeni families on the brink of famine is being cut off in the country by fighting and blockades.
