The French parliamentarian Fabien Gouttefarde, member of the National Defense and Armed Forces commission   has honored the Yemeni ambassador Ryadhi Yassin yesterday at the Yemeni embassy in Paris. The French parliamentarian said during the ceremony that the French government cannot remain insensitive to the drama currently unfolding Yemen.  

He noticed to the to the last recalled by the French foreign affairs Jean Yves on the protection of Yemeni civilians and free access to humanitarian aid. This is not optional but are bending on everyone, including Houthi rebels and Iran which help them by delivering arms, Fabien said.

Although France is not a directly involved in the Yemeni conflict, we cannot remain insensitive to the drama currently unfolding Yemen, Fabien added.

At a time  when the Houthis are at the gates of the Yemeni city Mareb, I am honored to present to you the Medal of friendship as a president of the France-Yemen friendship association regarding to your active representative to Yemen in France, Fabien says.

The French parliamentarian mentioned the French support to the resolution of 2216 of  the UN Security Council on Yemen  as well as funding  humanitarian aid through UN, international organizations and NGOs .
