Netanyahu Vows to Strike Iran’s “Terror Arms”
Sana'a — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Israel will continue its campaign against what he called “Iran’s terror arms.
Speaking from the Israeli Air Force Command Center, Netanyahu stated:
“We are determined to cut off the terror arm of Iran. Whoever attacks us — we will reach them.”
The remarks came hours after Israeli fighter jets reportedly struck Houthi-controlled sites in Sana’a and Al-Hudaydah, in response to drone and missile threats allegedly launched toward Israeli territory from Yemen.
The strikes are part of a broader Israeli strategy to confront Iran-backed militias across the region, including Hezbollah in Lebanon and armed groups in Syria and Iraq.
Netanyahu added that the Israeli military had “eliminated most members of the Houthi terrorist government” and warned that further operations would continue as necessary to neutralize threats.
The escalation marks a significant expansion of Israel’s regional military posture, with Yemen now firmly included in its list of active theaters. Analysts warn that the strikes could further complicate the fragile peace process in Yemen and risk drawing regional actors into a wider confrontation.
International reactions remain mixed, with some Western officials backing Israel’s right to self-defense, while humanitarian groups express concern over civilian casualties and the impact on aid operations in Yemen.
