Guterres appoints an Egyptian to the Panel of Experts on Yemen

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has appointed Jasser Al-Shahed, an Egyptian, to the Panel of Experts on Yemen.
The panel provides essential support to the Sanctions Committee which comprises Security Council members.
The committee was established pursuant to Security Council Resolution 2140, issued in 2014, and is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the sanctions measures.
