Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr al-Busaidi. The Secretary affirmed the urgency of addressing humanitarian needs in Gaza, preventing further spread of the conflict, and reinforcing regional stability and security.
He also emphasized the importance of working toward sustainable peace between Israelis and Palestinians, a shared priority of both the United States and Oman. The Secretary also welcomed Oman’s efforts to pursue a durable peace agreement in Yemen by launching a Yemeni-Yemeni political dialogue under UN auspices and ensuring Yemeni actors remain focused on that effort.
