Yemen: MASAM Dismantles 3,556 Mines in 2nd Week of March

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's project for clearing mines in Yemen (MASAM) cleared 3,556 mines during the second week of March 2020.
The operations included clearing three antipersonnel mines, 345 anti-tank, 2,634 unexploded ordnance, and 574 explosive devices.
Since the beginning of the project, 151,983 landmines have been dismantled after they had been planted by the Houthi militias, in Yemen.
The mines have been claiming lives, causing serious injuries or amputation of organs of children, women and the elderly.
Houthis attempt to hide mines in various forms, colors, and methods, resulting in the death of a large number of children, women and the elderly as well as serious injuries and amputation of organs.
