The MENTOR Initiative is one of the world’s leading non-profit organisations dedicated to the control of malaria and other vector borne diseases in emergency settings. The organisation directly delivers large scale disease control interventions to the most vulnerable communities caught up in emergencies, and in parallel, also works to build the technical and operational capacity of local and international partners on the ground, to incorporate medium and long term disease control systems into their operations and country strategy. 

After successfully implementing a dengue control programme in Aden Governorate, Yemen, MENTOR will be expanding its activities to conduct two large-scale innovative research projects aimed at evaluating new methods of preventing and controlling vector-borne diseases in humanitarian crisis settings. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Research Coordinator with significant experience working in difficult and resource-limited settings. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for innovation, problem solving and hands-on research. Entomological knowledge and practical experience are required. Applicants must also have strong data management skills and the ability and experience to work effectively and efficiently as part of a large, diverse and inter-disciplinary team.
