The Arab Parliament has reiterated its full support for efforts to achieve peace in Yemen, emphasizing the importance of adhering to internationally recognized frameworks and national legitimacy.

During its latest plenary session held in Cairo, the Arab Parliament issued a statement backing the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen, led by President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi. The Parliament affirmed its commitment to supporting all measures taken by the Yemeni government to restore state institutions, end the coup, and preserve the unity and sovereignty of Yemeni territory.

The statement welcomed recent developments in the peace process, including the UN-led roadmap and regional mediation efforts spearheaded by Saudi Arabia and Oman. It called on all Yemeni parties to engage constructively in the political process and uphold the principles of the Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions—particularly Resolution 2216.

The Arab Parliament also praised the Aden Declaration and other national initiatives aimed at strengthening governance and promoting reconciliation. It stressed the need for continued Arab and international cooperation to alleviate the humanitarian crisis and support Yemen’s path toward stability and development.

This renewed endorsement comes amid ongoing challenges to the peace process, including sporadic violence and political fragmentation. The Arab Parliament urged the international community to intensify diplomatic efforts and humanitarian assistance, reaffirming its role as a regional voice for peace and legitimacy in Yemen.
