Egypt’s Prime Minister Reaffirms Support for Yemen’s Legitimate Government and Stability
Cairo – Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has reiterated Egypt’s firm support for Yemen’s internationally recognized government and its efforts to restore peace, unity, and stability across the war-torn country.
Speaking during high-level meetings with Yemeni officials on the sidelines of recent regional and international summits, Madbouly emphasized that Yemen’s security is integral to regional stability and the safety of Red Sea maritime routes.
He conveyed greetings from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at ending the conflict and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.
Madbouly met with Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, and later with Yemeni Prime Minister Salem bin Brik in Doha at the Global Alliance to Combat Hunger and Poverty summit. In both meetings, he stressed Egypt’s readiness to cooperate on political, humanitarian, and development fronts.
Egypt has also expressed appreciation for the historical ties between the two nations and continues to host thousands of Yemeni nationals, providing access to education, healthcare, and residency support.
The reaffirmation of support comes amid renewed international efforts to revive peace negotiations and stabilize Yemen after years of conflict and humanitarian crisis.
