UAE official calls developments in Yemen's Aden worrying, calls for calm
A senior United Arab Emirates official called for calm on Wednesday after clashes erupted between southern separatists and presidential guards in Aden, the seat of Yemen’s government.
UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash wrote on Twitter that communication and dialog, not violence, was needed.
“Escalation is not an acceptable option after the despicable terrorist attacks,” he said, referring to attacks claimed by Islamic State and al Qaeda in southern Yemen in recent days.AFP
