UN Security Council welcomes renewal of Yemen truce

The UN Security Council (UNSC) has welcomed the renewal of the truce in Yemen for next two months, and called on parties to intensify negotiations toward expanding it into a durable ceasefire.
In a statement, the Council members also urged the Houthis to be more flexible and open roads in and around Taiz governorate, which has been under siege for over seven years.
