New Yemen Foreign Minister appointed

Aden-The Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council issued a presidential decree appointing Dr. Shaye Mohsen Al-Zindani as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, replacing Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, who was appointed Prime Minister of the Yemeni government early last February.
Media sources from Riyadh said that Dr. Shayea Al-Zindani is a professional and capable diplomatic figure with a long history in diplomatic work and the management of foreign affairs through his work as an ambassador for Yemen in many European and Arab countries, most recently as Ambassador Extraordinary for Yemen in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The sources added that Al-Zindani, who worked as Deputy Foreign Minister of South Yemen before unification, enjoys wide regional and international acceptance and has a capable leadership personality in managing diplomatic work, noting that the current stage requires competencies capable of dealing with the requirements of the current situation with tact and wisdom.
His appointment was considered a qualitative leap for the leadership of foreign relations at a sensitive stage such as the one Yemen is currently going through, sources said .
