UAE Ambassador Meets Yemeni President to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

On Monday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, welcomed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Hamad Al-Zaabi. The meeting highlighted the strong bilateral relations between Yemen and the UAE, focusing on opportunities to enhance cooperation across various sectors.
During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Zaabi conveyed greetings from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and expressed wishes for President Alimi’s health and happiness, as well as for the Yemeni people’s security, stability, and peace. In response, President Alimi asked Ambassador Al-Zaabi to relay his greetings and those of the Council members to the UAE leadership.
President Alimi briefed the UAE Ambassador on pressing national issues, particularly the economic and humanitarian situations exacerbated by attacks from the Iranian-backed Houthi militias. He praised the distinguished bilateral relations between Yemen and the UAE and acknowledged the UAE's active role within the coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen2. The President also highlighted the UAE’s economic, humanitarian, and developmental interventions aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.
The meeting underscored the ongoing commitment of both nations to strengthen their partnership and work towards a peaceful and prosperous future for Yemen.
