Yemen: Houthi Militias Claim Targeting Tel Aviv and Two US Destroyers in Red Sea

Yemeni Houthi militias announced on Monday evening that they had carried out an operation targeting a "military target" in Tel Aviv using a drone and targeting two US destroyers in the Red Sea with cruise missiles and drones. Israel, meanwhile, claimed to have intercepted a drone from Yemen before it entered its airspace.
Yahya Saree, the militia's military spokesman, said in a televised statement that "the Yemeni Armed Forces' Drone Air Force (affiliated with the group) carried out a military operation targeting a military target of the Israeli enemy in the occupied Jaffa area, using a Jaffa-type drone," without providing further details.
He explained that another operation "targeted two US destroyers in the Red Sea with a number of cruise missiles and drones."
The Israeli military said in a statement: "Earlier today, the air force intercepted a drone that was heading towards the country from the east."
He spoke of "the interception of the drone before it crossed into Israeli territory, and no alarms were activated, in accordance with policy."
Israeli Army Radio, for its part, reported that the intercepted drone was launched from Yemen.
On March 15, US President Donald Trump announced that he had ordered his country's military to launch a "major attack" against the Houthi militias, later threatening to "completely destroy the Houthis."
