Yemeni Deputy Prime and Foreign Minister Abdul-Malik Al-Mikhlafi considered today that the UN credibility was threatened, after the combats with militias of Ansar Allah in Taiz, while the peace negotiations continue in Kuwait. The UN and the international community are facing a real credibility test, regarding the suffering of children, women and the people in hospitals, as a result of the cruel war imposed on Taiz by the coup militias of the Houthis and the overthrown President Alí Abdulah Saleh, he asserted.

In a letter addressed to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and circulated by official media outlets in the Gulf, Al-Mikhlafi called upon him to adopt an urgent and deterrent stance regarding what he considered crimes by the Yemeni Shiite rebels and the Army sector loyal to Saleh.

According to the also head of the delegation of President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi's Government to the talks in this capital, the rebels carry out bomb attacks against all residential districts, markets and hospitals in the Yemeni central city.

Al-Mikhlafi called those actions criminal and warned that they were affecting thew peace talks, although the conciliatory efforts continue today, under the auspices of UN special envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed.
