Yemen Tops List of Asia’s Most Dangerous Countries

Aden – Yemen has been ranked as the most dangerous country in Asia, according to a recent global security assessment that highlights the ongoing impact of armed conflict, political instability, and humanitarian crisis across the nation.
The report, published by an international risk analysis firm, cites Yemen’s prolonged civil war, widespread violence, and the presence of extremist groups as key factors contributing to its high-risk status. The country has faced years of fighting between government forces, Houthi rebels, and various militant factions, leaving millions displaced and infrastructure severely damaged.
Security experts point to frequent clashes, drone strikes, and terrorist attacks—particularly in southern and central provinces—as indicators of Yemen’s volatile environment. The lack of a unified government and limited access to basic services have further exacerbated the crisis, making travel and operations in the country extremely hazardous.
Humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen continue to face challenges in delivering aid due to security threats and restricted access. Despite international efforts to broker peace, the situation remains dire, with the United Nations describing Yemen as one of the world’s worst humanitarian emergencies.
The ranking places Yemen ahead of other conflict-affected nations in Asia, underscoring the urgent need for diplomatic solutions and sustained humanitarian support.
