New joint US and UK raid hits Houthi positions in western Yemen

The United States and the United Kingdom have carried out a new series of joint air strikes against Yemeni Houthi rebel positions in western Yemen. This was reported by the "Al Masira" television channel, controlled by pro-Iranian Shiite rebels, according to which the raids hit the western suburb of Al Jabbana and the district of Al Fazah, in the coastal province of Al Hudaydah, on the Red Sea.
The US and UK began joint attacks on Houthi positions on January 11, after forming a coalition with the stated aim of reducing the rebels' ability to target commercial ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
