The United States has intensified its military campaign in Yemen, launching a new wave of airstrikes on Hodeidah, a critical port city under Houthi control. 

The strikes, which began over the weekend, have reportedly caused significant destruction and casualties, with the death toll rising to at least 53, including five children and two women. 

Nearly 100 others have been injured, according to Houthi-run health authorities.

The airstrikes targeted key locations, including the Al-Arj area in Bajil district and the Al-Habashi iron factory in Salif district, northwest of Hodeidah. 

Residents described the attacks as extremely violent, with explosions heard miles away. The U.S. military stated that the operation aimed to dismantle Houthi military infrastructure and leadership, emphasizing its commitment to ensuring maritime security in the Red Sea.

In response, Houthi leaders have condemned the strikes, labeling them as "war crimes," and have vowed retaliation against U.S. interests in the region. 

Houthi Militia has also claimed to have launched attacks on U.S. naval assets, including the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier, using ballistic missiles and drones. However, U.S. officials have denied any damage to the vessel.
