Yemen: For the Fourth Time, Houthis Announce Targeting of U.S. Aircraft Carrier “Harry S. Truman” and Other Naval Vessels in the Red Sea

Sanaa - March 19, 2025 – The Houthi militia has announced that it carried out a special military operation targeting the U.S. aircraft carrier “USS Harry S. Truman” in the northern Red Sea for the fourth time within 72 hours, in addition to attacking several other U.S. naval vessels.
In an official statement, the militia claimed that the attacks successfully hit their designated targets, asserting that they had foiled an impending attack being prepared against Houthi-controlled areas.
There has been no official response from the U.S. side regarding the latest attack. However, the military escalation in the Red Sea is raising growing concerns over increasing regional tensions, particularly as clashes between U.S. forces and the Houthis continue in the area.
This development comes amid the Houthis’ ongoing targeting of both military and commercial vessels in the Red Sea, prompting the United States and its allies to escalate their military operations against the group. Meanwhile, international warnings persist over the potential consequences of this escalation on maritime security and global trade.
