US Renews Strikes in Yemen Amid Rising Tensions

The United States has intensified its military operations in Yemen, targeting multiple locations across the country. This renewed campaign comes amidst escalating tensions in the region, particularly following the collapse of a ceasefire in Gaza.
Recent airstrikes by US forces have focused on areas such as Hodeidah, Sanaa, and Saada, with reports of significant damage to infrastructure and civilian casualties.
In Hodeidah, strikes targeted the Al-Tuhayta District and the Al-Salif port, while in Sanaa, residential neighborhoods were hit, resulting in injuries to women and children.
The US Central Command has stated that these operations aim to counter the activities of Iran-backed Houthi rebels, who have resumed attacks on key shipping routes in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
The Houthi rebels, in turn, have claimed responsibility for missile and drone attacks targeting US and Israeli interests, including an attempt to strike Ben Gurion International Airport in Israel. The group has vowed to continue its operations until hostilities in Gaza cease.
This renewed conflict has raised concerns about the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, which has already been severely impacted by years of war. The international community is closely monitoring the situation, urging all parties to seek a peaceful resolution to prevent further escalation.
