The new school year has begun in Yemen, and many families are facing difficulties in meeting the basic educational needs of their children due to the devastating conflict in the country, which has entered its ninth year and has caused very poor economic conditions.

Providing the necessary school supplies for the poorest groups represents a real opportunity for children to continue their education and not be left behind, as it is a matter of dignity and human rights.

Therefore, HUMAN ACCESS plays a leading role annually in supporting students who suffer from difficult living conditions. It also strives to mitigate the financial burden placed on needy families through bag and school uniform projects.

Coinciding with the start of the new academic year, the association delivered 2,420 school bags with their necessary supplies and 1,020 school uniforms in the governorates of Hadhramaut, Shabwa, and Ma’rib to enable children to pursue their education and achieve their ambitions and dreams.

With the help of HUMAN ACCESS interventions, the beneficiary families were able to secure basic school necessities, encourage the most vulnerable male and female students to continue their education, eradicate illiteracy, and reduce student dropout rates.

In addition, the new academic year turned into a time of hope and joy for the beneficiaries, who expressed gratitude for this important humanitarian intervention to assist them in their educational pursuits.
