AIJES- The UAE General Command of the Armed Forces announced Thursday that an Emirati ship carrying medical aid was attacked by a rocket launched by Al-Houthi rebels militia when the ship left the Yemeni port of Al-Mukalah.

 The UAE armed forces said in a statement today that the attack did not cause damage to the ship and injured one of its crew, confirming that they are  tracking the attackers .

 The UAE armed forces renewed their warning of the continued practices of the Houthi militias to smuggle weapons and ammunition into Yemeni territory, which affect the security and safety of international navigation in this vital part of the world calling on the international community to pressure the Houthi militia to implement UN Security Council Resolution 2216 to prevent such criminal practices.

It is noteworthy that with the outbreak of cholera epidemic and the deterioration of health conditions in a number of Yemeni governorates, the State is carrying ships carrying emergency relief aids, including various types of medicines and treatments for the epidemic and control and prevention supplies ..
