Yemeni Govt Praises Extension of Contract for Implementing MASAM Project
Yemeni Minister of Local Administration and Chairman of Higher Relief Committee Abdulraqib Fateh praised the extension of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) contract for implementing the project to clear mines in Yemen (MASAM), for one year at a cost of $ 30,495,000.
Minister Abdulraqib Fateh said in a statement to Yemen News Agency that the contract extension confirms the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's keenness to support Yemenis in preserving their lives from mines and explosive devices that the Iranian-backed Houthi militias plant randomly in most governorates.
A great number of children, women and elders have lost their lives, human organs or suffered serious injuries because of the Houthi landmines.
MASAM aims to purify the Yemeni lands from this harmful scourge.
