Hundreds of Yemenis Transported from Ghayda to Socotra on Board Saudi Plane
The joint forces command of the Saudi-led Arab coalition dedicated a Saudi military jet to transport hundreds of Yemenis from al-Ghayda airport in al-Mahra province to Socotra island.
The jet flew the first batch of travelers on Friday after they could not find a secure marine transport and due to the hazardous sea conditions during this time of year.
The humanitarian gesture is part of the coalition’s efforts in supporting the Yemeni residents of Mahra and Socotra.
