Yemen: Houthi rebels storm YOL office, pursuing after its editor Al-Awadhi

Sana'a- A number of Houthi rebels stormed last Tuesday the office of YemenOnline news agency YOL in the Yemeni capital Sana'a preventing the YOL staff from publishing any local news . Also, the rebels were looking for the editor in chief of YOL Jamal Al-Awadhi asking the staff about where he is. So far Al-Awadhi didn’t show up and the Houthi armed militia still pursuing him because of his writings and TV statements against their abuses, kidnapping, torture and killings of journalists and activists in areas under their control.
YOL is a Yemeni daily news website established by the journalist and human rights activist Jamal Al-Awadhi in 2007. The website had been hacked several times in 2009, 2011 and 2012 because of his criticism of the Yemeni government's policy of its violations against freedom of expression as YOL editor Jamal Al Awadhi was threatened by officials with death and disappearance .
