Katz : “We Delivered Another Painful Blow to the Houthis in Yemen”
Sana'a– Israeli Defense Minister Israel confirmed on Wednesday that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out fresh airstrikes targeting Houthi military infrastructure in Yemen, describing the operation as “another painful blow” to the Iran-backed group.
The strikes, part of Operation “Ringing Bells,” hit multiple sites in the capital Sanaa and northern Al Jawf province, including military camps, fuel depots, and the Houthis’ propaganda headquarters. The IDF stated that the targets were directly linked to recent drone and missile attacks launched by the Houthis toward Israeli territory.
“We promised more blows, and today we delivered,” Katz declared. “Israel’s long arm will reach and strike terror wherever it exists and wherever it threatens our citizens”.
The escalation follows a series of confrontations between Israel and the Houthis, who have intensified their attacks in solidarity with Hamas amid the ongoing war in Gaza.
Israeli intelligence reportedly enabled the precision strikes by identifying senior Houthi officials gathered for a speech, including Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi, who was killed in a previous operation.
The IDF emphasized that it remains committed to neutralizing threats from the Houthi regime, which it accuses of undermining regional stability and disrupting global maritime trade routes.
