UAE Reaffirms Full Support for Regional and International Efforts to Secure Humanitarian Truce in Sudan
ABU DHABI — The United Arab Emirates has reaffirmed its full support for regional and international efforts aimed at securing an immediate humanitarian truce and a comprehensive ceasefire in Sudan, as the country faces a worsening humanitarian crisis and escalating violence.
In an official statement, the UAE emphasized the importance of dialogue and peaceful solutions, urging all Sudanese parties to engage seriously in negotiations that prioritize civilian protection and ensure unhindered access to humanitarian aid.
Abu Dhabi also expressed its readiness to provide technical and logistical support to any initiative seeking to end the fighting, reiterating its commitment to international law and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
The statement comes amid growing global calls for a ceasefire, with warnings that the conflict’s expansion could have devastating consequences for civilians and infrastructure across Sudan.
