Saudi security authorities arrested yesterday Omar Nizar from Iraq while performing Umrah, while the Public Prosecution in the Kingdom decided to refer him to the State Security Court, for committing the crime of inciting terrorism in the Grand Mosque in Mecca by praying for the leader of the terrorist Hezbollah gang in Lebanon, Hassan Nasrallah.
Omar Nizar, an officer in the Iraqi Rapid Response Forces with the rank of lieutenant colonel, was sentenced to life imprisonment for committing the Al-Zaytoun Bridge massacre in Dhi Qar Governorate in southern Iraq, but the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faeq Zidane, overturned the sentence issued against him and released him.
