UAE Allocates $5 Million to Support Major Efforts of UN Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinators in Gaza

In a significant move, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has allocated $5 million to support the efforts of the United Nations' humanitarian and reconstruction coordinators in Gaza.
This funding aims to alleviate the suffering of the people in Gaza and enhance the ongoing humanitarian operations in the region.
The announcement was made by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs, following directives from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The funds will be used to support the work of Sigrid Kaag, the United Nations Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza, who is leading efforts to address the worsening humanitarian crisis in the area.
The UAE's contribution will help provide essential supplies such as food parcels, relief kits containing hygiene items, and tents to those in need. Over 311,730 individuals have already benefited from similar initiatives, receiving vital assistance to cope with the challenging conditions in Gaza.
This move underscores the UAE's commitment to supporting international humanitarian efforts and ensuring that aid reaches those who need it most. The international community has welcomed this contribution, hoping it will bring much-needed relief to the people of Gaza and support the ongoing reconstruction efforts.
