The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, re-opened the Khaldija bint Khuwailid School for Girls in Yakhtal District, on Yemen's Red Sea Coast, after renovation and refurbishment work.
The school’s renovation is part of the ERC’s efforts to improve and advance the local education system.
The school’s re-opening will enable 650 girls to resume their education.
The re-opening ceremony was attended by Mohammed Al Ba'ajari, Sheikh of Yakhtal District, and Abdu Fayed Naji, the school principal, who praised the UAE and ERC's efforts for their infrastructure and education services.
