The Supreme Court in Frankfurt sentenced the Iraqi accused, Taha Al-Jumaili, "38 years", to life imprisonment (for life) for his participation in crimes against humanity and genocide against the Yazidis on August 3, 2014 in Sinjar, Iraq.
According to court documents, al-Jumaili joined ISIS in March 2013, and held various positions ISIS in the Syrian city of Raqqa, as well as in Iraq and Turkey. He was arrested in Greece last year, then extradited to Germany.
It is noteworthy that the Munich Supreme Court ruled on (October 25, 2021) that German Jennifer W. (30 years) was imprisoned for ten years, convicting her of letting a Yazidi girl die of thirst in Iraq.
In a statement to YemenOnline Agency, Hasso Hormi, head of the International Yazidi Foundation for the prevention of Genocide and currently residing in the Netherlands, said that this is the first official judicial procedure in the world in connection with the practices committed by the terrorist organizations against the Yazidis, stressing that they in the International Yazidi Foundation against Genocide are in full solidarity with the victims of the crimes of ISIS, he also expressed his thanks to the German judiciary for this legal measure, which in turn will open a new door towards bringing ISIS to justice and not escaping from it.
