Houthis were displeased with the regional and international condemnation of the recent terrorist attacks against Saudi Aramco oil facilities in the eastern provinces of Abqaiq and Khurais, threatening to carry out more attacks.

This came as Yemen's vice president Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar condemned the terrorist attacks on the facilities in a tweet, and said they revealed Iran's “destructive role in the region” and its use of Yemen to stage its plots.

“We condemn this blatant assault on economic security and stand with our brothers in the kingdom to deter Iran's malicious arms,” said Ahmar.

Houthis’ spokesman Mohammed Abdul-Salam Flita voiced the group’s dissatisfaction with the international solidarity with Saudi Arabia, saying those condemning the operation have indeed denounced themselves as they have exposed their blatant bias.

The spokesman renewed the group’s threat for further executing terrorist attacks against Saudi Arabia, he, however, pleaded for peace and dialogue asserting “peace in the region can be restored only through dialogue and understanding, and away from the clatter of weapons."

Houthis were quick to claim the attacks on Abqaiq and Khurais Aramco’s oil facilities last Saturday, despite doubts about Iran's direct responsibility for these operations.

Flita vowed that the next defensive operations will be harsher and more painful if aggression and siege continue.

The terrorist attacks on the two oil facilities have been widely condemned from regional and international parties, as Saudi Arabia continues its investigation to determine where the attacks were launched from, confirming that the weapons used were Iranian-made.

Speaking at the UN Security Council meeting, Yemen’s Permanent Representative Mohammed al-Saadi condemned the drone attacks, affirming his country’s solidarity with Riyadh to fight attempts aiming to undermine its security.

He stressed that Iran has wreaked havoc in the region and transformed some regions in Yemen into missile launchers to threaten the international navigation in the Red Sea as well as the regional and international security and stability.A.Awsat
