Bahrain condemns UAE Embassy occupation in Yemen by Houthi militia

Manama: Bahrain Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the occupation of the UAE embassy in the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, by the Houthi militia, yesterday.
The Foreign Affairs Embassy stressed that this action carried out by Houthi militia is a flagrant violation of international law and diplomatic norms, and a desperate attempt to foil the efforts of re-establishing security and stability in the Republic of Yemen.
The ministry accented on the need to respect the inviolability of the headquarters of diplomatic missions and the safety of their staff as guaranteed by the Vienna Conventions on Diplomatic and Consular Relations.
The ministry expressed its appreciation of the UAE efforts in re-establishing security and stability in Yemen and the region and its support for all regional and international efforts aimed at eliminating all forms of violence and terrorism and those backing and financing them.
It called for intensifying efforts to root out the scourge of terrorism from all countries of the world.
