In a recent escalation of tensions, the Houthi militia in Yemen has claimed responsibility for another attack on the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier in the Red Sea. According to Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree, the group targeted the carrier with cruise missiles and drones, forcing it to leave the operational area.
This marks the second attack on the USS Harry S. Truman in less than a week
The Houthis have stated that these attacks are in response to the ongoing conflict in Gaza and recent airstrikes by the US, UK, and Israel on Houthi targets in Yemen
