IDF Intercepts Houthi Missile from Yemen , No Injuries or Damage Reported
Aden - Israel Defense Forces (IDF) successfully intercepted a ballistic missile launched from Yemen by Iran-backed Houthi rebels earlier today.
The missile triggered air raid sirens across central Israel and the Jerusalem area, prompting residents to seek shelter amid rising regional tensions.
According to military sources, the missile was neutralized mid-air by Israel’s advanced air defense systems, and emergency services confirmed that no injuries or property damage occurred.
The attack comes just hours after the Israeli Navy reportedly struck a power plant in Yemen in retaliation for repeated Houthi offensives.
Since March, the Houthis have launched over 70 ballistic missiles and 22 drones toward Israel, many of which have been intercepted or fallen short.
Authorities have declared the situation under control, but remain on high alert for potential follow-up attacks.
