Queen Bilqis Airlines Resumes Operations in Yemen Through Strategic Partnership with AlMasria

Aden - Queen Bilqis Airlines, has officially resumed operations after a prolonged suspension, announcing a strategic partnership with Egypt’s AlMasria Universal Airlines to restore vital air connectivity. The move marks a significant step in reviving Yemen’s civil aviation sector amid ongoing challenges.
The relaunch was confirmed during a joint press event held at Aden International Airport, where officials from both airlines emphasized the importance of the collaboration. Under the agreement, AlMasria will operate flights on behalf of Queen Bilqis Airlines, initially connecting Aden and Seiyun with Cairo and other regional hubs.
Queen Bilqis Airlines CEO stated that the partnership reflects a commitment to “restoring safe, reliable air travel for Yemeni citizens and supporting humanitarian and economic mobility.” AlMasria executives echoed the sentiment, highlighting their operational experience in conflict-affected zones and their readiness to support Yemen’s aviation recovery.
The first flight under the renewed operations departed from Aden to Cairo earlier this week, carrying over 150 passengers, including medical patients, students, and business travelers. Ticketing and scheduling will be managed jointly, with Queen Bilqis branding retained across all services.
This development comes as Yemen’s aviation authorities seek to expand international cooperation and rebuild infrastructure damaged by years of conflict. The partnership is expected to improve access to essential services, facilitate diaspora travel, and support diplomatic efforts for broader regional stability.
