Egyptian MP Urges Arab League to Act Amid Escalating Yemen Crisis
Cairo — Egyptian parliamentarian Mostafa Bakry has called on the Arab League to intervene immediately to halt the worsening situation in Yemen, following the latest unrest at Mukalla Port earlier today.
Bakry warned that the developments at the strategic port highlight the fragility of Yemen’s security and humanitarian conditions, stressing that continued instability threatens regional peace.
He urged Arab states to assume their collective responsibility and take decisive measures to prevent further deterioration.
“The Arab League cannot remain silent while Yemen faces escalating turmoil. Immediate action is needed to protect the Yemeni people and safeguard Arab national security,” Bakry stated during a press briefing in Cairo.
