UAE Rulers praise role of educators on World Teachers' Day
UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has honoured the contributions of educators and applauded them for playing a "pivotal role in guiding and inspiring" future generations.
In a post to mark World Teachers' Day, Sheik Mohamed applauded "their commitment to fostering curiosity, nurturing values and shaping young minds is central to building stronger communities and a brighter future".
"On World Teachers’ Day, we honour their contribution and reaffirm that education remains at the heart of the UAE’s development vision," he wrote.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also took to social media to honour teachers, calling it the "greatest role known to humanity".
Sheikh Mohammed added that teaching is central to every role we play, whether that of a mother, leader or prophet.
He credited teaches for "the rise of our nation" and "the future of our generations".
"Thank you to every teacher on World Teachers' Day and every day," Sheikh Mohammed concluded.
