Pakistan is not being pushed into Yemen War: Qureshi

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday rejected the impression that efforts were being made to push Pakistan into Yemen war.
Addressing a press conference at Foreign Office, Qureshi said that the PTI after coming into power repaired the stressed relation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
“When the incumbent government came into power, Pak-Saudi relations were not cordial. However, the PTI government improved the relations,” he added.
Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry and Adviser to Prime Minister on Trade and Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood were also present in the press conference.
The FM said that harmony and warmth in ties between the two countries would be witnessed during the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman. The Saudi crown prince is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on February 16, 2019.
The Saudi Crown Prince will stay at the Prime Minister’s House during his visit to Pakistan.
The foreign minister said such a huge Saudi delegation would never have visited Pakistan before. He said the delegates would include Saudi ministers, heads of Saudi companies and high-ranking officials.
The minister said that Saudi Arabia will be setting up an oil refinery. The Saudi investment is bilateral and has nothing to with CPEC, the minister clarified.
