Yemen's Shiite Houthi rebels said they launched a missile attack on gatherings of the Sudanese troops in the northwestern border province of Hajjah on Saturday.
The attack targeted the Sudanese troops, which are part of the Saudi-led coalition, on the northern edge of Midi Desert near the Saudi southwestern border province of Jizan, the rebels' al-Masirah television reported.
The Houthis gave no further details, while there were no comments from the coalition.
The Saudi-led Arab military coalition has been fighting in Yemen since 2015 to support the exiled Yemeni government against the Iran-allied Houthis.
