Commander of the security belt in the central region, Wael Al-Jaari, survived from two terrorist attacks by means of explosive devices planted on both sides of the road, which were detonated during their clash with al-Qaeda elements east of the city of Mudiyah in the central region of Abyan governorate.
Local sources had confirmed that the joint forces took control of a number of towns and regions in the districts of "Mudiyah and Al-Wadaya" on Sunday, without any armed confrontations taking place against the government forces, which controlled several areas in the two districts.
The sources added that the southern forces took control of the strategic "Akd" camp in the "Loder" district, which is located on the road leading to the Mudiyah district.
