Yemeni Landmine Monitor: The child Saeed Muhammad Abu Ashah was killed as a result of an explosion of a projectile from the remnants of war while he was grazing livestock in the "al-Fara" area of ​​the "Rahba" district, south of Ma'rib governorate.

Today, Thursday, 3 Yemeni children were killed and injured, as a result of the explosion of projectiles from the remnants of the war that was ignited by the Iran-backed Houthi militia , which has been going on for eight years.

The Yemeni Landmine Observatory said that the child, "Saeed Muhammad Abu Asha", was killed as a result of a projectile explosion from the remnants of war, while he was grazing livestock (sheep) in the "al-Fara" area of ​​the "Rahba" district, south of Ma'rib governorate, northeastern Yemen.

According to the human rights monitor, "Rahba district is one of the areas most contaminated with mines and explosive ordnance, and the residents of the district suffer greatly from this serious pollution."

He explained that this incident comes the day after a civilian was injured by separate injuries due to a mine explosion during a grazing of livestock in the "Al-Matar" area of ​​Al-Qurayshiyah district in Al-Bayda governorate, central Yemen.

Two children (Shama Ali Muhammad, 10 years old, and Abdul Hameed Maher Ali, 12 years old) were also injured by separate injuries as a result of the explosion of a shell left over from the war in the village of "Al-Shagadir" in the Hajar area of ​​Al-Dhalea Governorate, southern Yemen, according to the Yemeni Landmine Monitor.

The Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, is the only party in all parties to the war that plants mines and explosive devices of various types and sizes, even the internationally prohibited "individual", as Yemen witnessed the largest mine-laying operation since the end of World War II, according to human rights reports.

Human rights reports indicate that the Houthi militia has planted more than two million mines, killing and injuring more than 20,000 civilians.

The United Nations Group of Eminent International Experts said, in its report submitted to the UN Security Council, recently, that "the indiscriminate and systematic use of landmines by the Houthis, particularly along the western coast, poses a constant threat to the civilian population."
