Accusations of Yemen's Houthi of turning villages and neighborhoods into explosives stores

Regarding to the recent explosion of a gunpowder warehouse belonging to a leader in the Houthi militians in Amran Governorate, north of Sanaa, a human rights organization accused Houthis of transforming residential neighborhoods and villages into warehouses for explosives, calling for international pressure to stop militian’s violations.
At least 40 people were killed or wounded, and dozens of homes were partially and completely destroyed , in the recent explosion in Amran Governorate .
In a statement issued byThe Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms ,said that a violent explosion rocked a village in Amran Governorate a few days ago, causing the death and injury of dozens of innocent civilians, damaging a number of homes, some of them being completely destroyed, and burning a number of cars near the site of the explosion.
The Human Rights Network strongly condemended the Houthi group's continued stockpiling of weapons in populated areas, and said that this constitutes a humanitarian catastrophe that the group has deliberately maintained among civilians since its coup against the state and its institutions in September 2014.
