Hadramawt -- Local sources in Yemen’s Hadramawt Valley reported a near-complete electricity blackout following the shutdown of gas-powered stations. 

The outage occurred after gas supplies from PetroMasila were cut off, disrupting the main source of fuel for power generation in the region.

According to reports, the interruption was triggered when members of the Hadramawt Tribal Alliance stormed PetroMasila facilities, halting production and blocking the transfer of gas to power plants. 

The incident has left thousands of residents without electricity, exacerbating already difficult living conditions in the valley.

Observers warn that the blackout could deepen the humanitarian strain in Hadramawt, where communities rely heavily on stable electricity for essential services. 

The disruption has also raised concerns over the security of energy infrastructure and the broader impact of tribal unrest on Yemen’s fragile economy.
