EU Allocates €3 Million for Emergency Response in 15 Countries, Including Yemen
Brussels — The European Union announced the allocation of €3 million in humanitarian funding to support emergency response operations in fifteen countries worldwide, including Yemen.
The funding will be directed through the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO) to address urgent needs arising from conflict, displacement, food insecurity, and natural disasters.
Yemen has been identified as one of the priority recipients, given the scale of its humanitarian crisis, with millions of people suffering from food insecurity and displacement.
The EU emphasized that the allocation reflects its commitment to global humanitarian solidarity and its determination to respond promptly to emergencies by providing assistance to vulnerable communities.
This emergency package reaffirms the EU’s role as a leading humanitarian donor, ensuring swift and flexible interventions in regions facing acute crises.
